1. Q: What are the main features of the X1 model?
A: Mecpow X1 is a portable, ultra-fast laser cutting and engraving machine with dual light sources (2W 1064nm infrared laser + 10W 455nm diode laser), suitable for both beginners and professionals. It can be used with a protective cover and a fume purifier, so you can work with it indoors with confidence.
2. Q: What materials can it be used with?
A: This laser engraving machine is compatible with over 300 materials. The blue diode laser can engrave wood, leather, acrylic, glass, ceramic, rubber, fabric and slate, while the infrared laser can engrave common metals (gold, silver, copper, platinum, aluminum and iron).
Note: Different power settings may affect the engraving result. Please refer to the recommended operating parameters before use.
3. Q: How can I switch between infrared laser and diode laser on the engraving machine?
A: Infrared laser and diode laser can be switched directly through Mecpow Laser software.
4. Q: How do I connect the machine?
A: Wireless connection: Turn on the WiFi function of your phone and connect to the network named "Mecpow". Select "Keep connected". Then open the app and select "Device connection" in the settings.
Wired connection: Connect your computer to the laser engraving machine with the included USB-C cable.
5. Q: What is the engraving speed and accuracy?
A: The maximum engraving speed can reach 5000 mm/s, which may vary depending on the complexity of the image to be engraved. The engraving accuracy can be as low as 0.001 mm, depending on the material and settings.
6. Q: What software is required for X1?
A: You can download the self-developed "Mecpow Laser" software or use the third-party program "LightBurn". However, some functions are not available when using "LightBurn". For optimal performance, we recommend using the "Mecpow Laser" software and the "Mecpow" app.
7. Q: Can the engraving machine be used with accessories?
A: Compatible with Mecpow accessories including the G5 rotating cylinder, G1 slider expansion kit and Mecpow smoke purifier.
8. Q: What is the working area of the X1 model?
A: The maximum working area of Mecpow X1 is 105×105 mm and the maximum engraving height is 110 mm. By using the G1 slider expansion kit, the working area can be increased to 370×105 mm.
